The Publicity and Public Relations Center of the Near East University is providing service with one director and four officers.

The Publicity and Public Relations Center aims to establish relations between academic and official departments, and between students studying at the university, and all employees including the academic and administrative personnel. As for the external affairs of the university, the Center aims to establish relations with all educational institutions, youth organizations and civil society organizations, other university-related sectors in Turkey and overseas, and national and international media organizations, as well as arranging preparatory studies for university entrance exams.

The preparation of facilities and activities that are performed in the body of the university such as scientific, social and cultural activities are carried out by this Center. This includes preparation of posters, arranging invitations, transportation facilities, accommodation arrangement facilities, entertainment activities and so on.

Our Center is performing in co-operation with the representatives of the university in Turkey. The Center represents the university in Cyprus, Turkey and in other countries at the exhibitions and throughout the promotional efforts such as preparation of advertising cds, brochures and materials that are used to prepare students for the orientation programs. The Center also carries out staff training programs and the service orientation programs to maintain effectiveness of the Public Relations Center.

Students who are visiting university in groups are provided with guidance and councelling by the Publicity and Public Relations Center, and from time to time by the officials of Rectorate. Press and media publications about the university are followed up and archived by this department, too. Delivering the the Near East University press releases about the news of the university is amongst the duties of this department. The news about the events and programs of the university are distributed to all units and departments of the university on monthly basis, and facilities and events that are expected to be announced on the web site of the university are arranged by this department. The events in Ataturk Culture and Congress Center, the Near East Cinema, Library and Documentation Center are arranged in coordination with the Publicity and Public Relations Center.

Announcing the activities of the University organized for social purposes and arranging the participation of our people in these events through the media are amongst the responsibilities of the Publicity and Public Relations Center.

Mission
NEU Publicity and Public Relations Center aims to establish links between our university and the scientific, academic, cultural and sporting facilities taking place at at national and international level, that are ready to be compiled and shared.The Publicity and Public Relations Center using the most modern and appropriate information-communication methods in Cyprus and in abroad, aims to perform communication facilities within legal limits by considering the accuracy, reliability, objectivity, and ethical values in its services.

One of the primary aims of the NEU Publicity and Public Relations Center is introducing and advertising the features of the university, keeping the public updated about the events and developments that take place in the body of the university, announcing the scientific advances and developments, introducing the general structure and services of university to candidate students and to other educational institutions, and informing the administrative bodies of the university about the news related to the university.

NEU Publicity and Public Relations Center also bears the responsibility to be the opening gate to overseas at the international level, informing the public about the service and facilities of the university in the most accurate form, guiding and counselling the opinion of public and press about the university, providing logistical support for the activities and organizations that are going to be prepared, establishing communication links amongst the internal departments of the university, and introducing the activities, facilities, potentials, and physical structure of the university to students and academic teaching staff.

NEU Publicity and Public Relations Center is offering a multi-dimensional service with its team formed by a friendly and expert group of staff to promote the university and its values by keeping in line of respect towards the state and democratic values, and principles as well as human rights, laws and regulations, and following a policy open to innovations, respecting to national and international values, transparent in its procedures and applications, rapid and effective in its service, and at equal distance to its units and departments within its body.

NEU Publicity and Public Relations Center aims to be innovative and a pioneer in using the methods and values that are to be used in carrying out the communication services to enable NEU reach a statue which is held in high regards worldwide.

The vision of the NEU Publicity and Public Relations Center is to ensure the flow of information in fast, accurate, up-to-date, effective and proactive forms at the national and international platforms.

The vision of the NEU Publicity and Public Relations Center is to ensure that the Near East University takes its place amongst the most acclaimed and regarded universities at international level in the TRNC, Turkey and in overseas countries.

The vision of the NEU Publicity and Public Relations Center is to announce the news and developments in the educational fields to the world, to Turkey, in our country and on the modern, contemporary campus of the Near East University by using all sort of possible communication mediums in the most effective, most accurate way, and in the right time.
