Class will not be held today(12.04.2012) and tomorrow(13.04.2012).

Traditional Spring Fest of our university will start on Wednesday, 23 May 2012, and last on Sunday, 27 May 2012. Students and university staff who wish to attend the facilities that are free of charge for them must bear their student and academic ID cards. Students and staff of the university who have not yet obtained their ID cards can obtain them from Innovation Centre between 10:00-12:00 hours a.m. Visitors out of students and university staff will be subject to pay 5 TL for attending the facilities.

A Competition of “Television Public Spot” between Universities that own a Faculty of Communication is being held by News Cameramen Association and Higher Education Council for Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination (YÖDAK).

Aim:
A competition is being held by News Cameramen Association aiming to draw attention to traffic accidents and raise a further awareness of traffic issues. Within the scope of this project, a competition on “TRAFFIC” is being held through collaboration with the Faculties of Communication of various universities.

Type:
There are no restrictions regarding to what is sent for television public spot.

Conditions of Participation:
1. Participants have the opportunity to participate in the competition with their recordings of TV Public Spots.
2. Students of Faculties of Communication of all TRNC universities are entitled to participate in the competition.
3. The TV Public Spot recordings sent to the competition are required to be at least 45 seconds and a maximum of 60 seconds.
4. Each participant can only participate to this competition with two different recordings.
5. Recordings are required to be initially sent to this competition only, they should be recordings which have not been used in any other competitions.
6. Participants need to fully complete the participation form, including their CVs and three copies of the DVD enclosed in envelopes and provide them to the Headquarters of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. Participants are required to note down their name, their recording’s name and its duration on the enclosed envelopes.
7. Legal responsibility of the recordings is the concern of the participants.
8. The recordings which are given in to participate in the competition will not be returned back.
9. The News Cameramen association will have the right of non-profit display of all the recordings which will take part in the competition, for 3 years. The recordings which win awards will be shown on TV.
10. The closing date of handing in recordings is 18 May 2012. The result of the competition will be announced through the press. The Award Ceremony will be held at a place and time which will be announced on 2 June 2012.

Awards:
For those who come in:
First Winner: 3000 TL; Second Winner: 2000 TL and Third Winner: 1000 TL will be awarded with a money prize, along with a certificate of success.
Those which will be regarded as honourable mention are going to be awarded with a certificate of success and a memoriam plate of the News Cameramen Association.
Each participant will be awarded with a certificate of participation.
